Protein when you are not hungry.
Why the floor matters more on a shape protocol, the Filipino food that hits it, and what a day looks like.

the protocol it funnels to
Before you start.
- This page is about protein when appetite has dropped: why the floor matters more on a shape protocol, what Filipino food hits it, and what a day looks like.
- On the fat-loss class of compounds you eat less without deciding to. Unless protein is deliberate, the weight that leaves includes muscle.
- You leave with a way to hit the floor with food you already buy, in meals small enough to want.
Why the floor matters more now.
When food goes down, the body draws on its stores, and it will take muscle as readily as fat unless two things are true: enough protein is coming in, and the muscle is being asked to work. Training is the second; this page is the first. The fat-loss compound makes it easier to eat less, and that is the point, but it also makes it easy to eat almost no protein, because the foods that go first when appetite falls are the ones that take effort to eat. Rice is easy. Chicken is work.
The sheet asks for a protein floor from day one and your doctor sets the number for you. The job on this page is hitting it every day when the appetite is not there.
Filipino food that hits it.
Eggs, at any meal, are the cheapest protein in the country and the easiest to eat when appetite is low: two or three at breakfast is a real start. Chicken breast and thigh, tinola or inasal without the skin, is protein most households already cook. Bangus and tilapia, grilled or in sinigang, carry as much as chicken. Tofu and tokwa in a sizzling plate or in adobo. Lean pork in a broth rather than fried. Canned tuna and sardines for the day nothing else appeals. Milk, yoghurt and cheese where they sit well.
The pattern that works is the same at every meal: the protein first, the rice second and smaller, the vegetables beside. On a shape protocol the rice is what appetite drops first, and that is fine; the protein is what you protect.
What a day looks like.
Breakfast: eggs, two or three, with a small rice or none, and coffee. Lunch: a palm-sized portion of chicken or fish, a cup of rice at most, vegetables. Afternoon: a yoghurt, a glass of milk or a scoop of protein powder in water, because the afternoon is when the compound's appetite effect is strongest and the day's protein falls behind. Dinner: the same shape as lunch. On a training day the meal after the session carries the largest portion.
Protein powder is not necessary and is not a food; it is a convenience for the afternoon when a real meal will not go down. Whey or a plant blend, unflavoured or plain, in water or milk, is the whole of it.
The three mistakes.
The first is skipping breakfast because appetite is gone, which puts the whole day's protein into two meals that will not hold it. The second is rice-first plates, where the rice fills the small appetite and the chicken goes back to the fridge. The third is judging the day by how little you ate rather than by whether the protein was there; on this protocol, eating less is the easy part and eating right is the work.
Water is the fourth, and it is not a mistake so much as a forgetting: thirst falls with appetite, the compound slows the stomach, and a headache at four in the afternoon is usually a glass of water.
A fourth, quieter one: counting the day and not the week. One low day is nothing; a low week on a shape protocol is muscle you will not get back on the same timeline. The Tracker's weekly view is where a shortfall shows, and the fix is always the same, a serving of the plain food this page names at the meal you skipped.
How it fits your protocol.
The shape protocol is built on retatrutide and the KLOW blend. Retatrutide reduces appetite and shifts how the body uses fuel; the blend, from week five, looks after skin and joints while the weight comes off. Neither protects muscle on its own. Protein and training do that, which is why the sheet asks for both from day one and why this page exists. The Tracker's weekly waist and weight, with the same-light photograph, will show whether the loss was the right kind.
The strength protocol on the growth hormone pairing needs the same floor for the opposite reason: there is no building muscle without the material.
Shape protocols here are built on Retatrutide and KLOW Blend. Yours starts with three minutes.
Get startedQuestions
How much protein do I need?
Your sheet asks for a floor and your doctor sets the number for your weight and history. This page is how to hit it; it does not set it.
Is protein powder necessary?
No. It is a convenience for the afternoon when a meal will not go down. Eggs, chicken, fish and tofu do the job.
I am not hungry. Should I force food?
Not the rice. The protein, yes, in small portions across the day. The afternoon is where it falls behind.
What about rice?
Smaller, and second on the plate. On a shape protocol the rice is what appetite drops first, and that is fine.
Does this apply to the other protocols?
The strength protocol needs the same floor to build anything. The others benefit; the shape protocol depends on it.
