What running a protocol in Makati is actually like.

Makati is the easiest part of the city to run a protocol in, for one dull reason: everything is within a short ride of everything else. The laboratory that draws your baseline, the hospital that does the bone scan, the gym that coaches you and the place you get worked on after are all inside a few square kilometres, so the retest at week twelve does not require a day off.

The one thing to plan around is the working day. Blood is drawn fasted, in the morning, and the outpatient laboratories fill up between seven and nine. Book the first slot of the day, eat afterwards, and put the retest in the calendar on the same morning of the week twelve weeks out. The Planner does that part for you and prints the date.

Can I get a DEXA scan in Makati?

The hospital listed here runs bone mineral densitometry by dual energy X-ray absorptiometry through its bone health centre, which is what it publishes on its own page. Is there anywhere in Makati that will inject it for me?
